To honour the legacy of one of India’s greatest literary figures, Munshi Prem Chand Day was celebrated in our school with great enthusiasm. As part of the celebration, a biography of Munshi Prem Chand was displayed on the smart board, highlighting his early life, literary journey, and the profound impact of his writings on Indian society.

Students attentively read and observed the key events of his life, such as his birth on 31st July 1880, his contributions to Hindi and Urdu literature, and his most celebrated works like Godaan, Kafan, Namak ka Daroga, and Poos Ki Raat. His writing style, which focused on social realism, poverty, injustice, and human values, deeply inspired the learners.

Following the presentation, an interactive discussion was held in class. Students eagerly shared their thoughts on Munshi Prem Chand’s stories and the relevance of his themes even today. Many students brought out insightful connections between his characters and real-life situations.

The activity not only enhanced literary appreciation among students but also encouraged them to reflect on social issues through the lens of literature. It was a meaningful tribute to the “Upanyas Samrat” (Emperor of Novels) and a valuable learning experience for all.
