Fostering Gratitude and Empathy

At K.R. Mangalam World School, we believe in instilling gratitude, awareness, and empathy among our students through meaningful observances. On the occasion of Doctor’s Day, celebrated annually on 1st July, our students participated in a class-based reflection and appreciation activity.

Honouring the Dedication of Medical Professionals

Doctor’s Day is dedicated to recognising the dedication, selflessness, and unwavering commitment of doctors towards saving lives and serving humanity. It is a tribute to the medical fraternity whose role, especially in recent years, has been nothing short of heroic.

Learning the Legacy of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy

In class, teachers shared the origin and importance of Doctor’s Day in India—commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a legendary physician and freedom fighter. Students learned about the sacrifices and tireless efforts doctors make to ensure the health and safety of society.

Student Reflections and Creative Expressions

To express their gratitude, students were encouraged to write thank-you notes, design creative posters, or share real-life stories of doctors who have made a difference in their lives. The activity helped students reflect on the values of compassion, responsibility, and service.

Inspiring Respect for the Medical Community

Through this observance, we aimed to deepen students’ respect for the medical profession and inspire them to value the role of healthcare in society.
